Google Nexus One on January 5th According to Reuters, Possible Pricing Revealed


Reuters has filed a report stating that the recently revealed and highly anticipated Nexus One Android device will be released on January 5th simultaneously via Google as an unlocked device and via T-Mobile with a 2 year agreement, citing its own sources.

While pricing has not been confirmed, a rumor has surfaced claiming that pricing for the device will be set at $199.99 unlocked in stores and $99 via Google for those customers with “old Google Accounts” via an additional $100 mail-in rebate to be used on service activation or purchases via Google Checkout/Android Marketplace.

Cost for data service on T-Mobile or AT&T is also claimed to be $29 per month with no contract required, while global 3G roaming is stated to be around the same amount in Euros (20 Euros per month is amount being claimed) with possible prorating if an entire month of access isn’t used, along with the possibility using the same SIM card abroad without additional charges.
